Very nice case with all kind of compasses in excellent condition.
The set shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with compasses and additional pieces. It's made by the company 'C.Riefler. Nesselwangen & München' They come in a luxery case which comes in a fabric protectice sleeve.
The (loose) name tag of Musketier Weicholdt tells us he served in the 9.Kompanie 7.Thüringisches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 96. This regiment served under the 83.Infanterie-Brigade. This Brigade saw combat on the eastern front in 1914-15, on the western front (France) in 1915-1917 and in Belgium in 1917-18.
