Very nice pair of leather privately made commemorative leather protection sleeves in very good condition.
The sleeves show overall normal signs of wear. The leather is supple and solid. Very nicely marked 'Weihnachten 1915 in Frankreich' on one side and marked on the other side 'Feld-Intendaantur 8.Inf.Div.'. The Feld-Intendantur was the unit within a Division who was a military administrative authority that had to provide the troops with all their material needs (except weapons and ammunition).
These sleeves were probably used for protecting papers/document or personal stuff.
Unique piece.
