The postcard shows overall normal signs of storage wear. Egon Delica was the deputy commander of Fallschirmjager Sturm Abteilung 'Koch' which played a vital role in the battle for Fort Eben-Emael in Belgium during the invasion that took place in may 1940. For this he earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes.
