Nice Wehrmacht Tornister or 'Affe' in used, but good condition.
The Affe shows overall signs of use. The leather y-riemen are present. These are WW1 produced. One is maker marked and dated 1916. This one is also unit marked with I/R.1 which stands for Infanterie Regiment 1. The other strap is also maker marked and dated 1918. This strap shows overall more signs of wear although its supple and solid. The Affe itself is in good condition. The leather straps are supple and solid. Its maker marked and dated on the back but was marked too shallow so not possible to get a clear photo of it. We think we see the year 1939. On the inside the Affe is unit marked with 8/I.R.119 which stands for 8.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 119. This regiment was formed in October 1936. The regiment was part of the 25.Infanterie-Division. It saw its first combat during the invasion of Belgium and then France. After France it participated in Operation Barbarossa. It fought in areas like Shitomir, Kiew, Brjansk, Moskau and Orel.
