Nice and decorative 15km Mannschafts-Gepäckmarsch award document in very nice condition.
The document shows overall nromal signs of wear. It was given to the winner of the 2nd place. The marsch took place on the 5th of March 1938 in Glückstadt. The document is signed by Fregattenkapitein (Ing.) und 14.Schiffsstammabteilung kommandeur Carl Weber.
14.Schiffsstammabteilung was formed in 1938 and based in Glückstadt. It was part of the 2.Schiff-Stamm-Regiment. The abteilung was sent to Breda (Holland) in September 1940.
Apperently this unit also fought during Operation Market Garden against the Allies. In March 1945 the abteilung was used to form Marine-Schutzen-Regiment 111 which was based in Holland.
