Very nice World War 1 German M16 camouflaged helmet in used condition.
The helmet shows overall signs of wear. It has a lovely patina and still contains all of its original hand-applied 3-tone camouflage paint. You can still see the lines from the thick brush that was used. The 3 typical colors you often see on German WW1 helmets was used. However this is not the famous Mimikri camouflage pattern that was used. This makes the helmet even more uncommon/rare.
The linerband and all splitpens are present and unopened. The leather is unfortunately taken out at one point. The leather chin strap is complete, but broken. The shell is marked with the letter 'W' , meaning it was produced by 'Hermann Weissenburger & Co., Stuttgart-Cannstatt', who only produced 66 sized helmet shells. In the dome there is a marking E300.
