The condition of the helmet is very good. It has a lovely patina and still contains almost all of its camouflage colors. The decal is for 30% intact. The helmet is complete with original liner and the 3 liner rivets are in place and not messed with. The liner is complete with drawstring and in good but used and supple condition. Its size marked '56'.
The chinstrap is also present and in good but used condition. The leather is supple and the tip is dated '1940' and maker marked by 'Wilhelm Eilers Jr.' from 'Bielefeld'.
The shell is marked with serial number '505' in the neck and with 'ET64' on the side, which means the helmet was produced by 'Eisenhüttenwerke Thale', size '64'.
Overall a beautiful three color camo helmet (often referred to as 'Normandy' Camo by collectors).
