Very nice aluminium Wehrmacht artillerie realted tag in used, but good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in 'Stammbatterie Artillerie Ersatz und Ausbildungs Abteilung 76'. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Wuppertal as Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung (motorisiert) 76 and from September 1940 was part of Division Nr.166. It trained and supplied soldier for 2 different Artillerie Abteilungen, 9 different Artillerie Regiments, 5 different Panzer Artillerie Regiments and 1 Gepanzerte Artillerie Regiment. This unit also functioned as Ersatz (Sturmartillerieeinheiten) unit for the 16.Panzer-Division and 116.Panzer-Division (Der Windhund) from October 1944.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
