Details

The document shows overall normal signs of wear. Folded in the middle. The Infanterie Assault Badge in silver was awarded on 20.April 1944. Anton served in the Stabskompanie Pionier-Zug Grenadier Regiment 145. This regiment started as Infanterie Regiment 145 and was formed in in July 1942 and was stationed in Belgium. It was part of the 65.Infanterie-Division. In the summer of 1943 it moved to Italy and fought in areas like Adria, Nettuno, Livorno, Pisa and Bologna. Surrendered in March 1945 to the Americans/Brits.
