Nice zinc Landesschützen related tag in used, but good condition.
The tag shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Stab Landesschützen Bataillon 660. This unit was formed in late August 1939 in Munsterlager as Landesschützen Bataillon X/X. It was renamed in April 1940 into Landesschützen Bataillon 660.
From 1941 on the bataillon was stationed in Schleswig and had as task guardduty at Stalag XA (POW camp) in Schleswig. Some interesting information about this Bataillon 660 and Stalag XA can be found online.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
