Very nice Fallschirmjäger dogtag in good condition that belonged to a soldier that served in Stab.III Abteilung Fallschirmjäger Regiment 10 or the Nachrichten Zug of that regiment since they had the same numbers.
This regiment was formed in November 1943 in Italy and was part of the 4.Fallschirmjäger-Division. (Parts of the regiment consisted out of the remains of the Italian divisions "Demgo" and "Folgore", who wanted to continue fighting on the fascist side even after the Italian surrender).
As part of the division it fought fiercely in areas like Anzio,Nettuno,Rome,Firenz,Sienna,Rimini,Bologna,Ferrara, Verona and Bozen.
