Nice, small grouping of Panzer Grenadier Regiment 1 related documents in worn, but very good conditon.
The overall condition of the documents is good. It has been folded and shows signs of wear. The documents are named to a Georg Tietjen who served within the Stabskompanie II.Bataillon Panzergrenadier Regiment 1. This regiment was formed in June 1942 in Mittelrussland and became part of the 1.Panzer-Disivion. It saw mainly combat on the eastern front in areas like Rshew,Ukraine,Shitomir,Brody and Hungary. It saw also combat in the Greece from late May 1943 until October 1943.
The Ostmedaille was awarded on the 1st of August 1942. The Kraftbewährungsabzeichen in Bronze was awarded on the 1st of March 1943. Both documents are signed by Oberstleutnant and Regiments - Kommandeur Karl Neumeister.
With the award documents comes a certificate of discharge. Georg was discharged on the 22th of June 1945.
