The tag shows overall signs of wear. It's a well preserved grounddug, but solid and the text is clearly visible. It belonged to a soldier who served in the Stab I.Bataillon SS-Freiwilligen Regiment 2 Lettische Freiwilligen Division. This unit was formed in the Autumn of 1943 and fought in the Velikiye Luki area.
