The overall condition of the document is very good. Shows normal signs of wear. The KvKII was awarded on 22 Dezember 1942 to Kurt who probably served in the staff of Sicherungs-Division 281 or in a unit that was part of the division. In December the division and its units had the task to secure the area behind Heeresgruppe North. During this period they shot 317 partisans, 23 villages burned down, 11 partisan camps destroyed, 7 ammunition stores captured, 3 hospitals and 12 houses destroyed. In November 1944 the division was used to form the 281.Infanterie-Division.
The envelop came with the document, but doesn't match the document.
The award document is signed by Generalmajor Wilhelm-Hunold von Stockhausen. Wearer of the DkiG and the Ritterkreuz.
