Very nice and decorative III.Seenotgruppe der Luftwaffe related promotion document in used, but very good condition.
The document shows overall normal signs of wear. The document says that Feldwebel Paul Stobbe, who served in the Seenotstaffel 6/III.Seenotgruppe, was promoted to the rank of Oberfeldwebel on the 1st of Februay 1942. The Seenotstaffel 6 was formed in March 1941 in Syracruse which a port city on the island of Sicily, Italy. From the start until April 1942 it was part of the III.Seenotgruppe der Luftwaffe which was newly formed in Athens, Greece. The task of a Seenotstaffel is to fly air-sea rescue missions.
The document is signed by Major und Gruppenkommandeur Eduard Engelhorn (wearer of the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold).
