The moment the photo was taken Otto was Obersteuermann der Reserve of Vorpostenboot 1525 from the 15.Vorpostenflotille. His base was the Le Havre (France) port.
Otto earned the Ritterkreuz on the 3rd of May 1943. Note all the other officers wearing their Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on their jackets.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. Dated 13.10.1943.
