The photographs shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with (reattached) paper caption on the back. It appears that the photo was removed from an album. Günther was grenadier and Richtschütze Stabskompanie Panzergrenadier Regiment 104 the moment this photo was taken.
Günther earned the Ritterkreuz in late July 1942 whilst serving in the Panzergrenadier Regiment 104 which was part of the Afrikakorps. A detailed report can be found online.
The size of the photo is 13cms*18cms and is dated 6 August 1942.
