Very nice press photograph in very good condition of General der Panzertruppen Traugott Herr.
The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. Complete with caption on the back. The moment the photograph was taken Traugott was commander of the LXXVI Panzer Korps. This korps was formed in 1943 in France and was then shipped to Italy where it saw a lot of action against the British army. It also participated in the Battle of Anzio.
Traugot earned the Ritterkreuz in October 1941 as the commander of the 13.Schützen-Brigade, the Eichenlaub (August 1942) as the commander of the 13.Panzer-Division and the Eichenlaub with Schwerten (Dec.1944) as the commander of the LXXVI Panzer Korps.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. It's dated September 1944
