The photo shows overall normal signs of storage wear. It's complete with paper caption on the back. Karl was the Kommandeur Fallschirmjäger Regiment 1.
Karl earned the Ritterkreuz in late May 1940 for is actions on the Waalhaven airfield (Rotterdam), the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold in February 1942, the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub in April 1944 and the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern in November 1944. This photograph was taken on the Italian front.
On the photograph Generalfeldmarschall Kesselring and Generalleutnant Heidrick are also present.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. The photograhp is dated November 1943.
