The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. It's complete with caption on the back. The photograph was taken when Major Dahlmann was the commander of the I.Gruppe Schnellkampfgeschwader 10. This unit fought against the Allies during the Normandy Invasion in 1944.
Kurt earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold in February 1943, the Ritterkreuz on the 11th of June 1944 and the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub in January 1945.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. It's dated 28.7.1944.
