The photographs shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with paper caption on the back. Major Galland was Kommandeur III.Gruppe Jagdgeschwader 26 "Schlageter" the moment the photo was taken in September 1940.
Adolf earned the Ritterkreuz in late July 1940. In September 1940 he earned the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub, in June 1941 the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub und Schwerten and in January 19442 the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub, Schwerten und Brillanten. Besides that he earned a lot more other awards.
