The moment the photo was taken Albrecht was the Chef der Marinekleinkampfverbände Holland.
Albrecht earned the Ritterkreuz on the 21st of Janurary 1943, the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub in April 1943, the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub und Schwerten in May 1944 and the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub, Schwerten und Brillanten in November 1944. He was one of the only 2 Kriegsmarine officers with this high award.
