The photographs shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with (reattached) paper caption on the back. It appears that the photo was removed from an album. Karl was Großadmiral and after Hitler probably the most famous person of the second world war.
This photgraph was taken during a visit the ship Horst Wessel inspecting the Marine-HJ. Next to Dönitz stands Reichsjugendführer Axmann.
During his career Karl earned a lot of medals/awards.
The size of the photo is 13cms*18cms and is dated 27 November 1943.
