Very nice press photograph in very good condition of Knight's Cross winner General Otto von Knobelsdorff.
The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. It's complete with caption on the back. The photograph was taken when Otto was the commander of the 1.Armee. The 1.Armee fought in the Metz (France) area and the Vogese in the Autumn of 1944 and it fought during Operation Nordwind which was the second Ardennes Offensive which started on the 31st of December 1944 in the Elsas.
Herbert earned the Ritterkreuz on the 17th of September 1941, Deutsches Kreuz in Gold in February 1943, Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub in November 1943 and the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub und Schwerten in September 1944. Besides this Otto earned a lot more awards/medals.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. It's dated 23.9.1944.
