Very nice press photograph of Gefreiten Hubert Brinkforth visiting Adolf Hitler.
The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. Has a bit of water damage. It's complete with caption on the back. The moment the photograph was taken Hubert was Richtschütze 14.Panzerjager Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 25 which was part of the 2.Infantertie-Division.
Hubert earned the Ritterkreuz for his actions during the invasion of France in late Mai 1940. With his antitank gun he took out 9 British tanks near the town of Abbeville.
Brinkforth was the first (lower rank) soldier who was awarded the Ritterkreuz.
