Very nice and hard to find reversible Wehrmacht Smock or Wehrmacht 'Tarnhemd' in 'Marsh Camouflage Pattern 43' (also called 'Sumpftarn' camouflage).
This type of smock was widely used by various branches of the Wehrmacht and was especially popular with snipers.
This example is in used but very good condition. It shows normal signs of wear/ageing and some minor damage (see the photos), but nothing major.
The smock has two vertical openings for the pockets of a tunic worn underneath (the 'Tarnhemd' was meant to be worn over a uniform) and a ventilation opening on either side of the arm pit.
The smock is complete with drawstring at the waist, drawstring to close the collar opening and closing strap, with 2 buttons at the edge of both sleeves. The smock also still has its 'face veil' (although damaged), attached to the top of the hood (the face veil is almost always missing!).
The Tarnhemd is 'RBNr.' marked, Size marked 'II', Depot marked 'F' (Furth) and dated '43' (1943).
For the length of the smock, see the last photo
Perfect mannequin size and awesome set for a autumn/winter display.
