The document shows overall signs of wear. Mainly o the edges. The medal was awarded to Gfreiten Martin Drotner who served in the 2.batterie reserve Flak Abteilung 442. This abteilung was formed in late August 1939 in Essen from part of Flak Regiment 44. The medal was awarded on the 1st of October 1939. Flak Abteilung 442 operated in France in areas like Le Creusot, Terascon and later Paris.
