Very nice and rare Wehrmacht Tropical Pith Helmet or 'Tropenhelm Modell 40'.

The helmet is in used but excellent condition. Complete with both (most likely replaced) shields, liner and chin strap. The chinstrap is supple and solid, but has some surface cracks (handle with care as always). The ventilation hardware in the dome and the in- and outside of the sweatband are marked by 'C.Pose Wehrausrustungen' from 'Berlin'. 'C.Pose' was the first company to receive a contract for the 'Modell 40 Tropenhelm'. The sweatband is also dated '1940' and size marked '56'.
Overall an excellent and hard to find first model pith helmet from a desirable maker.
