The case shows normal signs of wear. Complete with both d-rings on the sides, supple leather (intact!) straps on the back and pulling strap on the front, which is maker marked 'frn' and dated '1941'. It is also marked on the inside and 'WaA' stamped on the bottom.
What makes this binocular case so interesting is that it was made and sold as a result of an army contract between the Swedish and German armies in 1942. Hence the pocket for spare glasses on the inside and the Swedish inventory markings on the back.
