These shields were worn on the the left arm by the members of the 'SS-Freiwilligen-Legion-Niederlande' right above the cufftitle or just under the eagle, from mid-to-late 1941 until about the end of 1943. However, there are periodic photos that even after 1943 these shields were still in use.
These early shields were usually hand embroidered and thus slightly different from each other, making them unique!
Incredible hard to find variant which are scarce and rarely offered for sale.
