The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a member who served within the Rasse und Siedlungs-Hauptamt SS. This was a headquarters of the SS that inspected men of the SS and their (prospective) wives for racial purity. They had to be 'pure' Aryan.
