Very nice and rare Luftwaffe Aufklärungsgruppe 31 Staffel 4 erkennungsmarke in used, but good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. The 4.Staffel Aufklärungsgruppe 31 was formed in November 1938. The Staffel participated during the invasion of Poland in September 1939 as support for the XV.Armeekorps. They where equipped with the Henschel Hs126 airplanes. After Poland the Staffel supported the XV.Armeekorps during the invasion of France. During the Battle of Britain the Staffel was part of the II.Fliegerkorps and was propably stationed at the Woensdrecht (NL) airfield. During the invasion of Russia the Staffel supported the XXXXI. Panzerkorps in the North of Russia. They where equipped with the Focke-Wulf Fw 189. In 1944 the Staffel was equipped with the Me190. Interesting and hard to find dog tag.
