The stickpin shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with pin. Gebirgs-Beobachtungs-Abteilung 38 was formed in August 1938 in Klagenfurt. In 1941 it saw combat in Northen Russia. In Februari 1942 the abteilung was renamed into leichte Gebirgs-Beobachtungs-Abteilung 38. In 1944 the abteilung was put into action in Finnland and in 1945 in Norway as part of the 6.Gebirgs-Division.
Gebirgsjager regiment unit stickpins are very hard to find, especially smaller units.
