The letter is in overall good condition. It shows overall normal signs of wear, but its solid. The letter is addressed to Maria Didschus and tells that her husband, Obergefreiten Heinrich Didschus, is missing in action on the eastern front on 2.7.1944. Heinrich served in the Feldstrafgefangenen-Abteilung 15. These units had the task of building bunkers, laying and clearing mines and collect corpes. Mostly under dangerous circumstances.
Nice document of a hard to find unit.
