Very nice and hard to find Eisenbahn related commemorative award document in good condition.
The document shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. It was issued to soldiers who served within the Schweren Eisenbahn Flakabteilung 536 for shooting down 26 planes between 15 December 1942 and 15 december 1943. This abteilung was formed in October 1942 with 4 batteries and all equipped with the heavy 10,5cm Flak canon mounted on railway carriers. It was put into action in Luftgau X in the Hamburg area as part of Flak Regiment 102.
From November 1943 till May 1944 it operated in the area of Wien (Vienna), Austria. It moved back to Germany where it was put into action as part of Flakgruppe-Dortmund in the months June and July. Later it moved to Schweinfurt and Wiesbaden-Russelsheim.
Very nice decorative piece.
