Very nice and rare 7,5cm Feldkanone 16 shell casing in used, but excellent condition.
The casing shows overall normal signs of use. The markings on the bottom are excellent visible. Dated 1936.
The Feldkanone 16 was designed as a 7,7cm field gun and produced in 1916 during the First World War. After the war most of the guns where rebarreled to 7,5cm and renaming it the 7,5cm Feldkanone 16 nA (neuer Art).
According to sources nearly 300 of these guns where still in service in the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War 2 making it to oldest artillerie piece the Germans had.
Finding items of the Feldkanone 16 is not easy.
