Very nice and hard to find Wehrmacht Feldzeug related tag in used, but good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 2.Kompanie Feldzeug Bataillon 9. This unit was formed in mid-October 1940 in Euskirchen. It operated first in the West of France and after that in the Balkans from 1941 on. In early 1942 it became part of the Heeres Feldzeug Park 1 and operated in Latvia.
A Feldzeug unit was responsible for the maintance of technical equipment.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
