The postcard shows overall normal signs of wear. On the back nicely marked with the Polizei decal and SS runen. There is a handwritten message on the back addressed to a Gefreiten who served in the II.abteilung 4.Batterie Artillerie Regiment 115. This abteilung was formed in November 1938 and the 4th batterie was issued with the 10,5cm howitser and the 5th and 6th with 15cm pieces. In 1939 the 4th batterie was also issued with 15cm howitsers. During the invasion of the Western countries it was part of the 16.Armee. In April 1941 the entire II.Abteilung was reschooled and equipped with the 21cm Mörser. In the 22nd of July 1941 the staff,4th and 6th batterie where transported on the ship called Preussen to Afrika, but it was sunk.
