The overall condition of the document is very good. Folded in the middle. The Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse was awarded on 24 Oktober 1944. Adalbert served in Panzerjäger Kompanie 1212. According to the info we found the Kompanie was part of the 212.Volks-Grenadier-Division which was formed in September 1944 (before September is was 212.Infanterie-Division). During the Ardennes Offensive it was stationed in Raum Echternach-Nittel and fought against the Americans in this area. The Panzerjäger Kompanie was equipped with Sturmgeschützen.
