Very nice Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber award document awarded to soldat Fritz Behm.
The overall condition of the document is very good. Folded in the middle. The woundbadge was awarded on the 21tst of Februari 1942 to soldat Behm who served within the 2.Kompanie Panzerjägerabteilung 42. He was wounded on 18 November 1941.
This unit was formed in November 1938 and was part of the 2.leichte-Division and participated in the invasion of Poland in 1939. In October of this year the division became the 7.Panzer-Division. In April 1940 the abteilung was renamed into Panzerjäger Abteilung 42 and was still part of the division. It saw combat during the invasion of France. After France it participated in the invasion of Russia. In March 1945 the 2.Kompanie was part of the 9.Fallschirm-Division.
The document is signed by the Oberleutnant and Abteilungführer.
