Very nice black leather Wehrmacht issued map case in used, but good condition.
The map case or 'Meldekartentasche' shows overall normal signs of use. The leather is supple, solid and all leather straps are present. It's named on the inside to a soldier named Emil Trost and it's also unit marked Panzer Pionier Bataillon 29. This bataillon was formed in March 1943 in France and was put into action in Italy in areas like Sicily, Monte Casino and Nettuno.
The unit that supplied soldiers for Panzer Pionier Bataillon 29 was Pionier Ersatz Bataillon 29 which was stationed in Hannoversch Münden hence the 'Hann Münden' behind the unit marking. The map case is maker marked by 'C.Riese' and dated 1942.
