The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the N.S.K.K.-Brigade 2 der Luftwaffe. This Brigade was formed in May of 1941 in Belgium and consisted out of 3 regiments. In December 1941 it was stationed in Poland and from MAy 1942 untill March 1943 in Ukrain before it was transported back again to Belgium were it was disbannd.
Within this Brigade an estimate of 4000 Belgium volunteers served.
