The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' show overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to the sailor Heinrich Mester. Heinrich served at the Marinestation Nordsee (N). The 'S' means Seemannischen Dienst. The '35' stands for the year 1935 when Heinrich enlisted.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for Heinrich's bloodtype.
