Very nice aluminium Wehrmacht Nachschub (Transport) dog tag in used, but excellent condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Nachschub Kompanie motorisiert Infanterie Divisions Nachschubführer 176. This unit was formed in August 1939 in Rathenow. It was part of the 'Divisionseinheiten der 76.Infanterie-Division'. Nachschubführer 176 was destroyed in January 1943 in Stalingrad, but rebuild again in March 1943 in Bretagne, France.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
