A nice brown leather private purchased Wehrmacht map case or 'Meldekartentasche' in used condition.

The map case is well worn. The leather is supple. The back straps were cut off and a long shoulder strap was added. The strap is also supple and solid. Three letter code marked and dated (194?) on the tip. The divider on the inside has been removed, probably to store more maps etc.
