Very nice zinc Flakkaserne related tag in used, but good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the M.K.K. Flakkaserne Essen Kray (Germany). This military base is now known as the Gustav-Heinemann-Kaserne. After the war the British used the base and later NATO troops.
What 'M.K.K.' exactly means is not really clear. It could be Militärisches Kasernen Kommando, but this is not 100% sure. Flakkaserne Essen-Kray was operational since November 1936 and was the base for Flak Regiment 44.
