The canteen shows overall minor signs of wear. The leather straps are supple and solid. The belthook on the back is present. The strap, screwlid, bottle, felt cover and cup are all marked by the same maker 'G&CL.39' which stands for Gehardi & Co from Lüdenscheid. There is no mothing on the felt cover.
