The overall condition of this set is very good. The feltcover has a couple of tiny moth bites and the top button can't be closed, but beyond that there is nothing to criticize. The leather carrying strap is present, supple and solid. It's maker marked 'D&FL', dated '37' (1937) and marked 'L.B.A.37' which stands for 'Luftwaffe Bekleidungsamt 1937'.
The cup, the leather canteen strap, the canteen, the canteen lid, the feltcover are all marked with the same maker code 'D&FL' (Diemer & Fastenrath from 'Lüdenscheid'. Every piece is also marked with with the year of production '1937'.
