The overall condition of the helmet is good. Contains allmost all of it's original factory paint. The helmet was repainted at one point, but this has been carefully removed, hence the gray residue in some places (the last traces of grey paint can probably also be removed in the right hands). A ghost of the Luftwaffe eagle is still visible. It's complete with its original liner and the 3 liner rivets are in place and not messed with. The leather of the liner shows overall normal signs of wear. It is used but supple
The shell is marked with a serial number in the neck and with 'Q66' which means it was produced by 'F.W. Quist G.m.b.H.' from 'Esslingen', size '66'.
