The buckle shows overall normal signs of wear. The buckle is marked 'J.D.' which indicates it was produced by 'J.Deutschbein' from Euskirchen. The leather tab is also marked by the same maker and dated 1938. Pretty uncommon buckle maker.
Th leather tab is also marked 'K.Gr. z.b.V.4' which stands for Kampfgruppe z.b.V.4. This Luftwaffe unit was formed in August 1938 and was a transport unit flying with the Junkers Ju 52. It was again disbanned in October 1938. Newly formed in February 1942 in Germany and moved to Riga.
